🎉 Turning 65? You're Not Alone—But It Can Still Feel Overwhelming
You’ve earned your Medicare benefits—but now you're facing a flood of phone calls, mailers, and decisions. We hear it all the time:
“Where do I even start? What plan do I really need? Who can I trust?”
That’s where we come in.
At Prime Life Hub, we help real people—right here in Hillsborough County—understand their Medicare options in a caring, pressure-free way.
Let’s break it all down so you can breathe easy and feel confident moving forward.
🧩 What Is Medicare, Really?
Medicare is health insurance for:
People turning 65 or older
Those under 65 with certain disabilities
Anyone with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
There are 4 parts to Medicare:
Part A – Hospital Insurance
Covers inpatient hospital stays, nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health.
✅ Most people don’t pay a premium for Part A.
Part B – Medical Insurance
Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and medical equipment.
💸 Most people pay a monthly premium for Part B.
Part C – Medicare Advantage (MA Plans)
Offered by private insurance companies. Combines Parts A & B, and usually includes:
Prescription drugs
Dental, vision, hearing
Extra perks like gym or OTC benefits
⚠️ You must still pay your Part B premium.
Part D – Prescription Drug Plans
Helps cover the cost of your medications. Available as a standalone plan or included in a Medicare Advantage plan.
🗓️ Timing Matters: When to Enroll
Your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) is your first chance to sign up. It’s a 7-month window:
3 months before your 65th birthday
The month of your birthday
3 months after
If you miss this, you could face late penalties or coverage delays.
🚨 Common Mistakes That Cost People Big
We see it all the time—and help fix it:
Picking a plan without checking if your doctor or prescriptions are covered
Not reviewing your plan each year
Missing out on financial help like Medicaid or Extra Help programs
